Ms. Sarah Smith

I am a Plano transplant and moved here in 2018 by way of San Diego, but spent most of my childhood/adult life in New Jersey and Virginia.  I am so excited to be with the Mathews staff as a First Grade teacher.  I started my teaching career as an Elementary General Music Teacher and taught in Virginia and Washington states and when I moved to Texas, I became a Special Education teacher here at Mathews. This will be my 8th year at Mathews.  I have four children; Alex, Ryan, Andrew and Madison.
 
When I am not teaching, I enjoy reading audiobooks, spending time with my family and friends, watching movies, or eating Tex-Mex.
 
I am looking forward to a great year and getting to know your child.
