Mrs. Teresa Calaza
I have been teaching at Mathews Elementary for seventeen years, and I’m thrilled to be part of the 2nd grade team. Mathews first became a special place for me when my daughter started 1st grade here twenty years ago, and it has truly felt like home ever since.
I grew up in Oklahoma and earned my B.B.A. in Finance with a minor in C.I.S. from Cameron University. Outside of school, I enjoy life in Plano with my husband, Joe, and our two Goldendoodles, Boomer and Gig’ee. Joe and I recently celebrated 35 wonderful years of marriage.
Our daughter, Lauren, graduated from the University of Oklahoma and Albany Medical College, and she is now Dr. Lauren Calaza, M.D., a first-year resident at UTSW-Dallas. Our son, Chad, is a Texas A&M graduate and currently lives in Manhattan, where he works for Charles Schwab.
Both of my children are proud Mathews alumni, and we treasure the many memories this school has given us. I am so grateful to be part of the Mathews family and proud to be a Mathews Maverick!
